The Long Island Baroque Ensemble celebrates a "Gem of a Year." Our Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Season focuses on informed historic performances of vocal and instrumental music, some of which is rarely heard and unpublished, along with much loved favorites. Programming for this season will look back to performances of notable works from our hitory with the addition of some new musical surprises. Using replicas of period instruments, the professional musicians of the Ensemble recreate the style and musical expression of composers of the Renaissance, Baroque and Classic eras. The Ensemble presents a musical snapshot, authentically duplicating the sounds and ambiance of a time gone by. |
